Festival
2006
The Leicester Pride Festival took
take place on Saturday 24th June on
Victoria Park.
Leicester Pride and Sounding Out teamed-up with Farside
Music to present an eclectic mix of local musicians
and performers bringing the world to
Victoria Park.
This year's free festival was different from those in recent
years in that there was no main sound stage. Instead, live music
was located in a tent with open sides.
The line up offered a mixture of bands and solo singers and
range of musicaly genres from rock to folk.
Pride day on the park
The Lord Mayor of Leicester opened the event at 2 p.m. in the
Dance Tent with PARISS, the Pearl Experience and other VIP
guests.
