Leicester Gay and Lesbian Pride
2004
Out of this World - Space
and Beyond
Celebrating its fourth anniversary,
Leicester Pride sought to boldly go
where no parade or festival has gone
before, with its ‘Out of this
World – Space and Beyond’ theme
- guaranteed to bring earthly delights
to the whole planet.
On 19 June 2004, the annual free event
once again brought together Leicestershire’s
lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans gender
community as well as friends and families
throughout the East Midlands for a
thrilling, fun filled day.
The Leicester Pride parade began its
galactic journey through the city centre
with fantastical floats, colourful
costumed dancers, marvelous marching
bands, and a multitude of revelers.
Despite some rain towards the end,
the parade entertained and educated
the shoppers and other passers-by in
Leicester's busy city centre.

place on Saturday June 19th 2005, on
Victoria Park.
Touching down in beautiful Victoria
Park from 1 pm to 8 pm, the Leicester
